For mkisofs, the difference is ~ 50% of the code.
For cdda2wav, the difference is ~ 20% of the code.
For cdrecord, the difference is ~ 30% of the code.

This does not even count powerful new code like "libfind".

The original project has a sustained average putback rate of ~ 3 putbacks
per day. People who like to be in competition to the original cdrtools would
need to be a lot more active in order to catch up with the progress in the 
original project.
