webmail help persist the bad behaviour. They default with top posting
replies and sending HTML emails. I have requested that they change the

You can change the default to text, but bottom posting requires a
greasemonkey script :S

Yes, but the fact that you have to delete the first (empty lines) is also a good reminder to trim the quoted part. After all; you have to scroll the same amount of text down as the readers will ;).
