I'm running kernel 2.6.30.9, because wireless connection wasn't stable
with 2.6.31. I wouldn't say that it was slow, but it was being dropped
from time to time (and a reboot was needed - rmmod/modprobe didn't
help).

Kernel log says this about the chip:
phy0 -> rt2x00_set_chip: Info - Chipset detected - rt: 0301, rf: 0003, rev: 0002561c
