In answer to your question: ksnapshot -> save as to smb share works perfectly. I have 100's of screenshots saved that way. ksnapshot -> "Open With" -> Gwenview -> "Save As" also works perfectly. The issue seems to only be triggered by: (1) ksnapshot (2) Choose "Open with" -> Gwenview (3) Crop the image, after pressing the final "crop", choose "File" -> "Save As" (4) Save to a smb share Because using anything other than Gwenview for cropping also works fine. Example: ksnapshot -> "Open With" -> Gimp -> crop -> "Save As" also works perfectly. Looks like it will just have to be resolved by: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203109 -- David C.
