hi everybody

I already posted my issue on serverfault => http://serverfault.com/questions/278125/monit-over-apache-reverse-proxy-and-remote-proxy-to-ssl-destination-host

To summarize:
I have program called monit, which does not provide proxy support, so I used apache as a reverse proxy.

monit --> local apache reverse proxy --> remote proxy with auth --> destiation host (mmonit https)

everything works fine, if I do use http without SSL...
the remote proxy is only available on port 80, but allows https requests. I already tested this by using wget to access the https destination host with the http proxy, so the remote proxy is not the
problem.

how can I get this to work...?

cheers
