configtest debug

Hello,

I'm working under freebsd with automated scripts that execute apachectl configtest before an apache graceful or restart.
It's a configtest of about 600 virtualhosts.
I have a timeout of 15 to 20 seconds for those automated scripts to execute before alerting of an error. It doesn't seem related to cpu load or disk access (still investigating a load issue, though), but sometimes (not that often, but sometimes) it takes more than 100 seconds.

Do you know if there is a way to debug a configtest command to know what's taking so long to parse?

Thanks for your help,
regards,
Sergi
