Serving subdomains - ProxyPassMatch issues

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

We want to serve an unlimited number of subdomains (http://subdomain1.domain.com http://subdomain2.domain.com) from an app server in the following way: http://localhost:port/somecontext/?param=subdomain1, http://localhost:port/somecontext/?param=subdomain2 resp.

Any ideas on how this can be done?

Using RewriteRule and ProxyPass changes the browser URL. However, we don't want the browser URL to change.

We tried using ProxyPassMatch but that doesn't seem to work at all.

<VirtualHost *:80>
  ServerName www.test.resu.me
  ServerAdmin karthikmanimaran@xxxxxxxxx
  ProxyPassMatch  ^www\.([^.]+)\.domain\.com(.*) http://localhost:8080/home/?param1=$1$2

</VirtualHost>

Thanks,
Karthik.
