This is a bug and needs to be fixed. It might be the same as existing bug 43664 (https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43664). > I'm using cachedirlevels = 5 so that the tree of directories is deep. There are only 64 possible characters used in these directory names, so with a dir length of 2, you can't have more than 4096 subdirectories.
