I have this in my vhost entry: <Directory "/var/www/localhost/htdocs"> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory>where the "/var/www/localhost/htdocs" is the root of the apache install files i.e.
http://my.ip/robots.txt - works http://mysite-before-rewrite/robots.txt - gets a 403 error Should I add the /usr/htdocs folder?
