I got it work. The problem was, I did not specify the IP addresses which can access the server

using redirect instead of rewrite should be enough, however this will only
apply when you enter path containing slash after http-poll which is not what
you described.

do you mean, if you enter it WITHOUT the port name?

you are accessing the HTTP polling service, which not apache IIUC.
