mod_ssl with SSLCryptoDevice

I'm trying to compile 2.0.63 with a mod_ssl that will accept the 
"SSLCryptoDevice" directive. I tried adding
--enable-rule=SSL_EXPERIMENTAL to ./configure and then doing make, but 
that didn't work. How do I do this?
