ok i just figuerd out the group thing...
 
now my server starts [    OK    ] when i run "service httpd start" but when i try and get in with a browser using "http://192.168.0.1" the browser says "the page cannot be displayed"
after i do that the following apears in my error log

access log remains clean, nothing in there
 
what is up with thaT?

i have my apache set up on "mandriva spring 2007" linux...
 
im having trouble creating a user and group for the user and group directives
 
a "getting started with apache" article i hav said to use "groupadd -g 999" to crate a group but when i type this in the console it gives me the syntax for groupadd
 
what am i doin wrong?
