content negotation and query strings?

All,

I'm having a bit of a weird problem with apache+php.  I'm using
type-maps, and somehow the query-string from the origianl URI is not
being passed through to the negotiated request.

I.e.

URI = https://server/phpinfo?klop=99

contents of htdocs/ :

phpinfo.html
phpinfo.phtml.en

phpinfo will pick up phpinfo.html which is a type-map that "resolves" to
phpinfo.phtml.en.  (which just does a  phpinfo() ).

With the URI above, I have no 'query-string' set in the server
environment variables, whereas if I go straight to:

URI = https://server/phpinfo.phtml.en?klop=99

the query-string is present, and PHP can turn it into the $_GET array.

Any suggestions?
