(In Windows Vista: Control Panel->Security->Defender->Tools->Software Explorer->set category to 'Startup Programs'->select Apache HTTP Server and click disable) In Windows XP you have to download and install Defender first. Apache will run normally, it is only the monitor that you will stop but it didn't work anyway. Hope this will help.
