I'm not sure what problem you're trying to solve but the fact that they resolve to the same IP is irrelevant. Do they share a DocumentRoot? If they share a DocumentRoot and you want BOTH to access DOCUMENT_ROOT but you only want abc.com to access DOCUMENT_ROOT/dir1, then you'll have to restrict traffic with a rewrite rule or some other mechanism.
