and I have been googling for 2 days.
Please help.
I have SUSE 9.1 that comes with an apache 2.0.48 rpm package.
I run

# apache2ctl start

I get no messages here only a new prompt

#

and this is what I get in the log:

I was told that the 2 first messages are not fatal, so there arent really any errors reported.
ps -eaf and netstat -nlpt dont show any httpd.
And if I do
# apache2ctl stop
I get
httpd (no pid file) not running

My listen configuration in httpd.conf:
ServerName localhost:80
Listen 80

The frustration is that I dont get any errors.
Any ideas?
