I knew I would catch flak for this.  I would have loved to be on
Apache 2 long ago.  Unfortunately, for a long time mod_perl was
not recommended to be used on Apache 2.  Eventually I suppose that
changed, but in the meantime our Mason install got way behind the
curve.  I never had the time to invest in upgrading all three bits
of technology.  That being the case, it's not likely to change
anytime soon.  I still don't have the time.  Apache 1.3 it is for
now.

Can you be more specific about whether or not I should be able to
proxy an XML-RPC server with Apache 1.3 and not simply assume I'm
an idiot for not upgrading?
