I'm doing some testing with mod_cache, using disk cache. What I've noticed is that if I hit example.com/index.*, it will cache it and serve it from the cache as well. However, if I just go to http://www.example.com, it isn't cached. This happens with any index page served without giving the name of the index file in the URL. This is with Apache 2.2.4. Has anyone run into this issue before? What should I check for?
Show us the HTTP response headers and the ErrorLog output at LogLevel debug for the case where it caches and the case where it doesn't.
