Apache 2.2.4 in Win 2K SP4 causes BSOD (afd.sys) on accesses
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
I have tried to install Apache 2.2.4 as best I can on a Windows 2000 SP4
system, in the hope I could use it to serve my blog instead of the
Java-based server I've been using. I have also installed PHP 5.2.0. I
initially had problems configuring Apache to serve PHP files correctly
(execute rather than display), but I seem to have that problem licked.
What remains is more troublesome: whenever an outside IP address visits
my site, within moments it seems to cause a "blue screen of death" which
references afd.sys (which seems to be a WinSock driver). Thus far the
times I have seen this occur are with the routine visits of an RSS
aggregator, so to be more thorough I may have to enlist a friend to test
the symptom further.
(Also, as a side note, I very quickly discovered the bug with Apache
that causes IP addresses in the access log to appear as 0.0.0.0, so I
have included "Win32DisableAcceptEx" in httpd.conf.)
Does this happen to sound like a well-known problem to anyone, given the
brief details above?
Mark
