Hi Dan,

Are you definitely loading the alias_module?

Also, when you restart apache, is it complaining about anything in the error log?

Best,

Hello,

I wonder if someone might please help me with the follow problem??

I am trying to set up the follow two directory mappings ::

http://localhost/Directory1/
http://localhost/Directory2/

Within <IfModule alias_module> tags of the httpd.conf file I have placed the
following ::

Alias /Directory1 "H:\ApplicationFiles\Directory1\"
<Directory "H:\ApplicationFiles\Directory1">
 AllowOverride None
 Order allow,deny
 Allow from all
</Directory>

Alias /Directory1 "H:\ApplicationFiles\Directory2\"
<Directory "H:\ApplicationFiles\Directory2">
 AllowOverride None
 Order allow,deny
 Allow from all
</Directory>

However, when I enter http://localhost/Directory1/ into my browser I get a
404 error. Looking in the error log it states ::

[error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: F:/Program Files/Apache
Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs/Directory1

It would appear that the Alias aren't working and that it is just using the
document root. Can anyone please tell me what I'm missing??

Thanks in advance
D@n
