Hello,

Remo 0.1.1 alpha has been released.
See the website at http://remo.netnea.com.

Remo stands for "Rule Editor for ModSecurity". It's a
project, attempting to
 - bring easier configuration to ModSecurity
 - make a whitelist/positive security model feasible for
   ModSecurity deployments

I'm posting this announcement to this list because some apache
users might think it useful and possibly some users will come up
with suggestions and feature requests.

This new release brings the following new gui features:
- Support for HTTP headers in remo edit window
- Customizable list of default headers and default value domains
  See remo_config.rb
- Inplace editing for all supported request properties
  (method, path, headers)
- Detailarea removed
- Label for toolset buttons
  (Suggestion by Ofer Shezaf)

New rule generator features:
- Strict checking of headers in generated ModSecurity ruleset
-> Only predefined headers are permitted
- Per request rule-group in ruleset using LocationMatch directive
  (Suggestion by Ofer Shezaf)

With the ability to edit http headers, remo is starting to
become useful. At least a bit. You can try it out at the
demo site via the homepage: http://remo.netnea.com/?q=demo

Enjoy,

Christian Folini
