Why am I getting "(9)Bad file descriptor: core_output_filter: writing data to the network" on Linux Gentoo 64 bit platform? I have recompiled Apache, PHP and MapServer (with php-mapscript) with care several times, but it does not help. Error appears, when I'm using ka-Map application (http://ka-map.maptools.org/). Ka-Map uses PHP MapScript (http://www.maptools.org/php_mapscript/) Message is not same that mentioned in http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/faq/error.html FAQ. Anyway, I tried set "EnableSendfile Off" and "EnableMMAP off" without luck. # tail -f /var/log/apache2/error_log [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [debug] ssl_scache_shmcb.c(647): index_size = 16 [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [debug] ssl_scache_shmcb.c(649): cache_data_offset = 8 [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [debug] ssl_scache_shmcb.c(651): cache_data_size = 13853 [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [debug] ssl_scache_shmcb.c(664): leaving shmcb_init_memory() [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [info] Shared memory session cache initialised [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [info] Init: Initializing (virtual) servers for SSL [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [info] Server: Apache/2.0.58, Interface: mod_ssl/2.0.58, Library: OpenSSL/0.9.8d [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [notice] Apache configured -- resuming normal operations [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [info] Server built: Feb 15 2007 10:26:45 [Thu Feb 15 12:40:10 2007] [debug] prefork.c(956): AcceptMutex: sysvsem (default: sysvsem) [Thu Feb 15 12:42:16 2007] [info] [client 10.0.0.83] (9)Bad file descriptor: core_output_filter: writing data to the network [Thu Feb 15 12:42:17 2007] [info] [client 10.0.0.83] (9)Bad file descriptor: core_output_filter: writing data to the network [Thu Feb 15 12:42:17 2007] [info] [client 10.0.0.83] (9)Bad file descriptor: core_output_filter: writing data to the network Apache-2.0.58 # php --version PHP 5.1.6-pl6-gentoo (cli) (built: Feb 15 2007 11:06:33) Copyright (c) 1997-2006 The PHP Group Zend Engine v2.1.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2006 Zend Technologies PHP MapScript Version: ($Revision: 1.260 $ $Date: 2006/09/06 16:42:36 $) OS: Linux 2.6.18-gentoo-r6 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jan 12 10:54:26 EET 2007 x86_64 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5150 @ 2.66GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux -- regards, Jaakko --------------------------------------------------------------------- The official User-To-User support forum of the Apache HTTP Server Project.
