On linux platform.

If you used the "official" Apache package from your distribution (or an update of this package), you can simply uninstall it with your package manager (e.g. rpm -e PACKAGE or apt-get remove PACKAGE). If you compiled Apache from source, however, you need to delete it manually. For the default installation directory /usr/local/apache2:
# rm -rf /usr/local/apache2
