yes the module is included but the include to the path of the ssl.conf was 
commented out. 

After setting up the ssl.conf and certificates I removed the "#" to include the 
path to the ssl.conf. At this point I still was not able to use https. The error 
indicated that no ssl was listening on 443. So I though I might solve that with 
telling apache explicitely to start with ssl. Therefore I included the "-DSSL" 
in apachectl. 

I also know that after I did that it was the first time the ssl.conf was read 
because there was an error in the conf. After I removed this error I now allways 
get the Illegal Instruction.
