i think that my option is:
- apache 2 with mod_ssl as an extension
- Win32Openssl

Just to add to what others have said:

You really have four options:

- apache 1.3 with mod_ssl as a third-party module (ie, separate
download)
- apache 2 with mod_ssl as an extension (ie, part of the distro)
- Apache-SSL (uses apache 1.3 - SSL is built-in by default)
- Vendor apache with SSL (http://httpd.apache.org/related_projects.html)

Note that in *all* cases, you will need the OpenSSL libraries installed
on the server.

It's up to you. Any option would work well, but your choice may depend
on factors unrelated to the SSL issue. For instance, if you're using
Windows then I would comment that apache 2 was designed specifically to
work well on that OS. Apache 2 is better for windows than apache 1.3 so
that directs you to option 2 above.
