The article is spot on - well done for actually searching the web for info *before* posting! As the man says, if you're using a vendor apache, check it to see if you already have a mod_ssl module ready to load (I don't think he gets the name right - on my system, apache 2.2, it's modules/mod_ssl.so). If you compiled apache yourself, you need to compile the module - instructions are in the INSTALL file in the distro.
