I use with Apache 1.3 and I haven't had any problems. If you have a lot of rewrites, make sure your server can handle it, but it should be a big deal (you should notice something before it becomes a problem). Try these, they helped me (Apache has similar dos for 2.x version). http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/misc/rewriteguide.html http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/mod_rewrite.html -----Original Message----- From: Stephen Collyer [mailto:scollyer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, July 07, 2006 11:32 AM To: users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [users@httpd] Per-directory mod_rewrite with ScriptAlias ? Before I start posting details of configuration and so on, a simple question: is there any well known problem with enabling mod_rewrite in a per-directory context, when the directory in question is a) not under the document root, and b) enabled for cgi via a ScriptAlias ? If so, can someone point me at the relevant docs ? I've been unable to track down anything useful myself. -- Regards Stephen Collyer Netspinner Ltd --------------------------------------------------------------------- The official User-To-User support forum of the Apache HTTP Server Project.
