The installation procedure says: After you've set up the file layout properly, you're ready to finally configure Apache to load the PHP4 module. Just add the following lines to your httpd.conf: LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache.dll AddModule mod_php4.c AddType application/x-httpd-php .php I was able to add LoadModule and AddType... but I couldn't find a place for AddModule..
