[users@httpd] segmentation fault

On an intel mac os x 10.4 with apache 2.2.0 I am getting a segmentation 
fault.

When I run apachectl start, I get:
./bin/apachectl: line 102:   359 Segmentation fault      $HTTPD -k $ARGV

'359' changes randomly

If I run httpd, I get:
Segmentation fault

I have not changed anything recently (other root-access users swear they 
haven't either), so I have no idea why this is happening.  I have tried 
completely reinstalling apache, and I still get the same error.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
