One hour ???  How about 5 minutes.  If you compile and enable mod_proxy
and mod_proxy_ajp, you then simply add a one line to your config like
below, and you have apache talking to tomcat !!!

ProxyPass /servlets-examples ajp://127.0.0.1:8009/servlets-examples
