What bit did you have trouble with? I hope you didn't just look at the first section "Related Modules and Directives" and give up... Actually, that stuff is really just reference and could as easily go at the end (possibly *should* go at the end). Skip it, and read "The Prerequisites" and "Getting it working" and follow carefully the instructions there. If there is something specific that you don't understand or can't get working, post back.

Administering a webserver is a non-trivial task that requires a certain minimum level of expertise. 
The apache docs are written for a beginner and it doesn't get much simpler than this...
