Rich Bowen scores on both those tests, and also does newbie
training, including the "introduction to apache" tutorial at
ApacheCon.  Worth a look at his books.

Someone also mentioned Ivan Ristic, who is also well-respected,
though not a core developer.  Couldn't say anything about other
individuals mentioned.
