If you don't need it, forget it ;-)

I ran your command:  truss -fael -tall -vall -xall -rall -wall -o output
apachectl start

And the output file contained:

This is essentially the same as what I saw in the error_log sent to you
earlier - so what do you gather from this?

Where ist the *dir?
Under which user do you run apache?
