Make an "rpm -qa | grep openssl" 
then with the outcoming name (for example "openssl-0.9.8a-11.18")
make
  rpm -q -l --provides openssl-0.9.8a-11.18 |  grep libssl
Than you shoudl know where it is.

Hi,

	what application provides ssl library?

	in my system openssl and the dev was is currently installed via RPM. 

	Ive tried setting SSL_BASE to /usr/lib but with no luck.. Error: Cannot find 
SSL binaries under /usr/lib
