[users@httpd] passwords for basic auth

How can I force Apache2 to use existing crypt-generated passwords for 
BasicAuth and which are currently working fine on Apache 1.3.

I am going to be migrating a lot of password lists to Apache2 and I'd 
like it to be a silent migration.
