Plain text please... The core apache 2 doesn't implement the HTTP PUT method. If you try to use the PUT method, you get a 400 Bad Request. One way to handle PUT is to install the web_dav module (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_dav.html). This is if you want full-scale web-based authoring (allowing users on the web to upload, edit and delete files). If all you want is to allow some users to upload files to your site, you can do this using POST with the enctype="multipart/form-data". You then need a handler on the server to read the file and store it (eg, CGI, PHP, ASP, XSP, JSP etc.) Google for more details..
