Ladies and gentlemen please if you can be of any assistance I would appreciate it. The problem is htaccess or my lack of understanding thereof I have set it up on a directory but when I try to access the directory I DO NOT get challenged for a password I just get the forbidden message in my web browser, what I want is the browser so open a dialog box asking for my username and password, and grant/or deny me access based on the credentials supplied, any ideas what I am doing wrong. ?
