[users@httpd] Urgent help needed for 400 error in Apache 1.3.33

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi All,

We just upgraded from Apache 1.3.28 to 1.3.33. We are seeing the following error intermittently and the request is throwing 400 error page.

Webserver Error Log:

dx1\https\error_log.3(2656): [Tue Oct  4 14:43:41 2005] [error] [client 65.111.78.226] request failed: erroneous characters after protocol string: \\xf4\\t\\xe7\\xd6\\x18GET /site/olspage.jsp?id=pcat17014&type=page&_requestid=60984 HTTP/1.1

Read from a forum that this is known bug in Apache 1.3.28 but got fixed in 1.3.33 version. But we seeing the problem even in Apache 1.3.33.

Any ideas about this are appreciated.

Regards,

Anand Srinivasan

If you mean that you want all request serving to be under a different
userid for the virtualhost, then this is not possible. (You can look
at the metux mpm, but I don't think it is very stable.)

If you mean you want suexec to run cgi scripts under that userid (as
you could do in apache 1.3), then you want the SuexecUserGroup
directive.

Joshua.
