[users@httpd] Possible attack?

Hello, all.
I don't know if this is the right forum, but here goes.
Anyone else getting nailed with a 401 error in the logs that is using full url? I never use full url for my ErrorDocument and have been getting slammed with this since about Monday. It seem that 50 or 60 times per minute the error occurs. I can not find which .htaccess has the error, but it's not in the httpd.conf .
Is there any way to see where this is occuring?
I searched the log files over, both access and error and can't find any information there.
Thanks,
Kevin
