Hello.
At the moment we have some servers using Apache 1.3 on the Red Hat AS 2.1. We
would like to update our operating systems to the Red Hat AS 3.0. I installed
the RH AS 3.0, removed the Apache 2.0 (as we don't want to use it) but at this
point I stopped because I can't find anywhere the rpms to do the Apache 1.3
installation. I found the src rpm file for RH 2.1 and the tgz files to compile.
If I try to use the first I got this error:

[root@as30 root]# rpmbuild --rebuild apache-1.3.27-9.ent.src.rpm
Installing apache-1.3.27-9.ent.src.rpm
error: Failed build dependencies:
~ db3-devel is needed by apache-1.3.27-9.ent
~ mm-devel is needed by apache-1.3.27-9.ent

I cannot install the db3-devel because in the AS 3.0 there is the db4 - and I
don't know if I can safely remove it.

I really prefer to install the rpms so before trying to compile, could please
anyone give me some advice where I can find the correct src rpm or the rpms
themselves or how to resolve this failed dependency?

Thank you in advance for your replay,
Maila Fatticcioni
