[users@httpd] Apache1.3.33 with mod_ssl compilation error

Hi,
 
I have compile the Apache1.3.33 with mod_ssl-2.8.23 with the following without success.
 
 $ cd /usr/local/mod_ssl_2.8.23
 $ ./configure --with-apache=/usr/local/src/apache_1.3.33
 $ cd /usr/local/src/apache_1.3.33
 $ SSL_BASE=/usr/bin
 $ ./configure --enable-module=ssl --prefix=/var/apache1 --enable-module=most --enable-shared=max --datadir=/var/apps --logfiledir=/var/logs  # cd ../apache_1.3.33
 
Configuring for Apache, Version 1.3.33
 + using installation path layout: Apache (config.layout)
Creating Makefile
Creating Configuration.apaci in src
 + enabling mod_so for DSO support
Creating Makefile in src
 + configured for Linux platform
 + setting C compiler to gcc
 + setting C pre-processor to gcc -E
 + using "tr [a-z] [A-Z]" to uppercase
 + checking for system header files
 + adding selected modules
    o rewrite_module uses ConfigStart/End
 + using -lgdbm for DBM support
      enabling DBM support for mod_rewrite
    o dbm_auth_module uses ConfigStart/End
    o ssl_module uses ConfigStart/End
      + SSL interface: mod_ssl/2.8.23
      + SSL interface build type: DSO
      + SSL interface compatibility: enabled
      + SSL interface experimental code: disabled
      + SSL interface conservative code: disabled
      + SSL interface vendor extensions: disabled
      + SSL interface plugin: Built-in SDBM
      + SSL library path: /usr/local/ssl
Error: Cannot find SSL binaries under /usr/local/ssl
 
Anyone has ever face this? Any help?
