Is there anyway to interrogate what apache is doing right now, what
files it is trying to serve and stuff?

I had a problem earlier where apache was just soaking up all the memory
in the machine, even if I restarted it the memory would just start
soaking up again. I tried moving all the configurations out one by one
so I can see which site was causing the problem, but it seemed to just
cure itself during this.

I would like to know how I can interrogate what apache is currently
doing to diagnose this.
