I patched mod_proxy.c, mod_proxy.h and proxy_http.c from 2.0.54 with patch id 11915 without any problem. It also compiled like a charm and so far it does not seem to break anything else.

I'll do additional testing over the next few weeks.

Reverse proxying is really important to me, so I've given the bug 3 votes...

It's made it as far as 2.0.x STATUS.  If it can collect three +1 votes there without anyone voting against, it goes in.

I think the stumbling block is the usual one: round tuits.
