[users@httpd] Handling Custom Protocol

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

We'd like to implement something that knows how to handle a custom
communication protocol, and allows us to pass requests down to Tomcats (or
a JKHandler implementation).

Currently we have a class on the Apache machine which listens on a port,
opens a socket for the device, wraps each request as an http request, and
sends it to Apache for load balancing between the Tomcat servers. Is there
a way to integrate this directly into Apache and increase performance etc.?

cheers,

David
