Thread-topic: Tomcat 5 behind Apache 2 on XP

I am an Apache newbie. I am trying to get Tomcat 5.5 to run behind Apache 2.0 and I was following the steps on this link:

I tried to start tomcat and the service is starting then stopping right away. Apache starts fine. Any direction what so ever would be appreciated.
