[users@httpd] [Win2000] Apache's memory usage climbs to 2 GB, then crashes and restarts

Hi.

We have this website here which is running a set of PHP scripts using Apache under Windows 2000.

Unfortunately, the server is eating memory like a dog. It climbs continually up to a memory usage of 2 GB (according to taskmgr). Then it stays there for some time, until at some point it drops back down - presumably Apache restarts. Then it climbs back up.

It takes only a few minutes to reach memory usage of 2 GB.

What can be done about this problem?

Thanks,
Arne Heizmann
