Hi Fabio,
I'have the same problem like you.

I'm working on an application developped on PHP, I want to
allow the download of some documents without sending the
directory of the document, I'm wondering how did you resolve it?
I mean in configuration of the web-server and how can you send
it to the client.

the php 4.3.3 application is running on Linux with apache 1.3.3.
HTTPS connection is allowed.
