Thanks for the update. I'll be doing a dynamic compile. Though so far have been unsuccessful in finding docs on how to just upgrade mod_ssl. mod_ssl docs would be where? If you didn't, then you need to check whether mod_ssl is compiled statically or dynamicall. If you have a LoadModule line in httpd.conf for mod_ssl, then it is dynamically compiled, and you can most likely upgrade it without upgrading the rest of the server, as long as you are only doing a minor version change.
