- you have mounted the same disk-volume in two places, or

Got it ?
Check with df -k |grep home
/home is often mounted twice for file system portability.

This is what I get.

[root@webdev conf]# df -k |grep home
[root@webdev conf]# df -k
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
                     115952076 1802544 108259484 2% /
/dev/hda1 101086 14187 81680 15% /boot
none 512368 0 512368 0% /dev/shm
[root@webdev conf]#

Since the server is a dev server I didn't see a need to mount /var and /home on 2 separate partitions.
