Using environment variables in mod_substitute

Hey all,

I am trying to use environment variables in mod substitute, but it seems that this does not work. Is there any to parse html responses and regex replace something with an environment variable?

I had found this previous mailing list but they were able to work around the issue without giving an answer to the actual question
